We add a small matching green vinyl skirt over the feathers for maximum durability. These have produced when other will not. Don"t leave the dock without one!

This is our most popular dolphin killing rig. It has a bird on the front that acts like a teaser and creates splash and bubbles to attract fish from far away. Behind the bird is 4 feather lures that freight train in a line like they are chasing the bird, and the last lure has a quality hook. All of this is rigged on a 100 lb. leader with anti chaffing loops. You have to see this lure in action with the lures chasing the bird. It is best run way back behind the spread. Back in the 1950's, muskie's were on the minds of two Wisconsin men who fished the waters of the north woods. Wanting a lure with greater muskie appeal, they developed the Gopher. Designed to mimic the swimming action of a small rodent, the original lure proved to be very successful. The original Gophers are now highly sought after by antique lure collectors. The Gopher bait is now made again by one of the original makers. August Machtig of Sheboygan, Wisconsin is now producing the Gopher. The Gopher baits are constructed with wooden bodies, unique flock finish and through wire construction. Each bait has a collector ID number etched on the paddles. The musky gopher is 8.5" long and weights 2 ounces. It sports 5/0 treble hooks and stainless steel paddles. This bait is designed to fish slow and could be the slowest bait you own. For best results, cast the bait out and let it settle. Now, give the lure a twitch or two and begin a slow retrieve. Not too fast or you'll spoil the action.
